FAQ

Afeez Football League is designed to ensure that African remains true to its core values as the governing body of African football and is in a position to drive progressive initiatives and programmed to be implemented over the next few years.   

Its objectives are, among other things, to deal with all questions relating to African football, to promote football in a spirit of unity, solidarity, peace, understanding and fair play, without any discrimination on the part of politics, race, religion, gender or any other reason, to safeguard the values of African football, promote and protect ethical standards and good governance in African football, maintain relations with all stakeholders involved in African football, and support and safeguard its member associations for the overall well-being of the African game.

  1. Afeez National League (level 1, 20 teams): The bottom three teams are relegated.
  2. State Football League (level 2, 24 teams): Top two automatically promoted; next four compete in the playoffs, with the winner gaining the third promotion spot. The bottom three are relegated.
  3. Afeez Football League One (level 3, 24 teams): Top two are automatically promoted; next four compete in playoffs, with the winner gaining the third promotion spot. The bottom four are relegated.
  4. Afeez Football League Two (level 4, 24 teams): Top three teams are automatically promoted; next four compete in playoffs, with the winner gaining the fourth promotion spot. The bottom two are relegated.
  5. Community Cup (level 5, 24 teams): The champions are promoted; next six compete in playoffs, with the winner gaining the second promotion spot. The bottom four are relegated to either Challenge 1 or Challenge 2 division as appropriate.
  6. Challenge 1 and Challenge 2 League division (level 6, 22 teams each, running in parallel): The champions in each division are automatically promoted; next six teams in each division compete in playoffs, with the playoff winner in each division getting the second promotion spot. The bottom two teams in each division relegated to Challenge 3 or to Non-League.

It is forbidden to utilize logos or other trademarks without the Afeez Football League's written consent. Before you copy our clubs' names, emblems, or other trademarks, you should get in touch with them directly to get the necessary permits. Our clubs maintain ownership of their trademarks.

We would politely request that business proposals are submitted only once. We will respond to any that we wish to take further forward.

Kick-off times and match dates are subject to change for a number of reasons.

 A live TV broadcast is planned for a few of the fixtures. This may modify the kick-off time, the date of the game, or both. For instance, games that were supposed to start at 3 p.m. on Saturdays could end up taking place on Friday night, Saturday lunch or evening, Sunday afternoon, or Monday night.

Additionally, the rival teams use social media, email alerts, match programs, and their own websites to keep supporters informed. Supporters are kindly asked to confirm with the club before making any reservations, including for long-distance travel, regarding transportation.

Please get in touch with the club that sold you the ticket for details on their refund policies and processes if you discover you can't make it to a match that has been rescheduled.

You can only get reimbursement requests for travel, lodging, and other related costs made through the business that sold you the good or service. In light of this, we advise only making flexible travel or hotel reservations, or getting adequate insurance to guard against any last-minute modifications.

The publication date may occasionally be earlier than stated above because it is our goal to release each monthly pick as soon as the specifics are finalized. For a number of reasons, including scheduling conflicts with other national and international events, our matches may be moved. This means that in addition to the monthly broadcast choices ,we will also release any extra fixture schedule modifications that become necessary.

There is no subscription option available for the Afeez Football League to watch on-demand, individual games, or matches involving a single club. Our broadcast partners own the broadcast rights in each region, and they provide fans and viewers in each area with their own slate of shows.

We encourage everyone to criticize and report abusive behaviour whenever they see it, whether it be in stadia or online, as part of establishing a warm and lively environment.

 However, kindly utilize authorized channels and exercise caution to avoid endangering yourself or others. You can file a report for abusive behaviour at a match or online in a few different ways:

If you observe abuse at a match or are impacted by an incident, it is best to report it right away so that appropriate action can be taken.

The stadium control room, manned by police and senior safety officials, can be promptly contacted by the stewards who can offer rapid help.

The front or back of seating blocks, by the stands and stairwell exits, are where you may find the stewards, who are easily recognized by their bright jackets.

Additionally, some stadiums provide a text or phone line for reporting issues. These details will be promoted on club websites, in match programs, and throughout the stadium.

Every Monday, the match officials are customarily announced. The match officials' appointments will be revealed on Tuesday if the Premier League game is scheduled for a Monday. Premier League games are officiated by Select Group referees.

The Professional Game Match Officials Board schedules appointments. They consider a number of things, such as the referee's overall background, their present performance, the frequency with which they have officiated the clubs in question, the team they support, and any upcoming international assignments.
