1. Introduction
Afeez Football League (AFL) provides opportunities for players, coaches, and welfare officers to participate in organized football activities. These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in AFL programs, including Player Registration, Football Academy, and signing as a Coach or Welfare Officer.
2. Player Registration
2.1 Eligibility: Participation in the AFL Player Registration program is open to children aged 6-7 years old (U6-U7) at the start of the season.
2.2 Fees: The registration fee is N5,000 per player, with an additional N2,500 for welfare support, totaling N7,500. This fee covers participation in training sessions, matches, and league events.
2.3 Registration Process: Parents or guardians must complete the online or offline registration form, provide necessary documents, and pay the registration fee in full. Registered players will receive a welcome pack with training kit and equipment.
2.4 Cancellation and Refunds: Refunds will be considered only for medical reasons supported by a doctor’s note. A 50% fee will be deducted for withdrawals before the first training session. No refunds will be granted after the first training session.
3. Football Academy
3.1 Eligibility: Participation in the AFL Football Academy is open to all registered players who show potential and commitment to football development.
3.2 Selection: Players will be selected for the Academy based on talent, dedication, and attendance at training sessions. The decision of the coaching staff is final.
3.3 Fees: Academy players will pay an additional monthly fee for specialized training and development programs.
3.4 Benefits: Academy players will receive additional training sessions, access to specialized coaches, and opportunities to participate in tournaments and competitions.
4. Coaches and Welfare Officers
4.1 Eligibility: To be considered for a coaching or welfare officer position, applicants must meet AFL’s qualifications and experience requirements.
4.2 Selection: Selection will be based on interviews, references, and practical demonstrations of skills and knowledge.
4.3 Contract: Successful applicants will sign a contract outlining their roles, responsibilities, and remuneration.
4.4 Termination: AFL reserves the right to terminate contracts with coaches or welfare officers who violate policies, underperform, or demonstrate unprofessional conduct.
5. General Terms
5.1 Code of Conduct: All participants in AFL programs must adhere to a high standard of conduct, respecting coaches, officials, teammates, and opponents.
5.2 Insurance: AFL provides basic accident insurance coverage for registered players during official club activities.
5.3 Privacy: AFL collects personal information for registration and communication purposes. This information will be kept confidential and not shared with third parties without consent.
5.4 Disclaimer: AFL is not responsible for any injuries or loss of personal belongings during participation in league programs. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising their children during sessions.
5.5 Amendments: AFL reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be available on the AFL website.
