Academy Phases

Pre-Academy / Development Centres

  • Ages 6–7 and up
  • Focus: Foundational skills up to U8

Foundation Phase

  • U9–U11
  • Focus: Fundamental skills development

Youth Development

  • U12–U15
  • Focus: Tactical and technical growth

Professional Development

  • U16–U18, extending through U21 and potentially U23
  • Focus: Preparing players for professional competition

AFL operates a comprehensive multi-tier system:

Top Tier:

  • Afeez National League

Regional & Development Levels:

  • State League

3. Operations & Player Onboarding

Player Registration Requirements

Eligibility:

  • Open for players aged 16–21
  • Must have a Club Coach/Team Leader

Registration Fees:

  • ₦5,000 per player
  • ₦2,500 for welfare
  • Total for 17-player squad: ₦255,000

Important Dates:

  • Application Deadline: October 27, 2025
  • League Kickoff: Scheduled for 2026
  • Follow-up meetings planned post-deadline
